Christie Kennedy’s career at Penn-Mar Castings
Kennedy earned a business management degree from YTI Career Institute and started with PMC right out of college. She started in Penn-Mar’s order entry department. She also served in roles with customer service/sales, quality, plant scheduling and operations. Christie’s goals at Penn-Mar Castings
Now that Christie is in charge of the day-to-day operations, she is hoping to grow PMC even more. “I’m proud of the culture we have created here and love the drive and commitment that our little work family puts into each and every day to make quality castings,” said Kennedy. She is hoping to implement cost-cutting initiatives, improve plant flow and move and eliminate bottlenecks at the facility. Some of her other goals include continuing to improve quality, as well as add more in-house programs and training. “My favorite part of the job is working with the shop people and figuring out how to make their workday better,” added Kennedy.
Christie Kennedy’s life away from PMC
When Christie is not working hard at Penn-Mar Castings she likes to enjoy life on the water. She loves boating, kayaking, fishing and camping out in a tent. She’s also a big fan of campfires and music. The most important thing in her life is her sassy 8 year old daughter which she refers to as her “mini-me.”
